ESO Client Fatal Error 11-eso Encountered a Fatal Error: Fixes

• During the installation of the ESO, the installation files involved can get missing or corrupted, resulting in Error 11.
• This error can take place if there is a problem with the file present in your directory’s Launcher folder.
• This error message appears if some installation files are missing from their stored location.

Now that we know what’s causing the error, we’ll talk about how to fix it so your gaming experience isn’t disrupted in the future.

Fix ESO’s Launcher 

As previously stated, ESO Error 11 might occur if the setup files are faulty or missing; to address this issue, you must repair the ESO launcher. To do so, follow the step-by-step instructions listed below. 

• Under My Documents, access a folder named Elder Scrolls. 
• Go to and access the liveeu folder or the live folder. 
• Ensure that all files in the AddOns and SavedVariables folders are deleted. Additionally, remove the AddOnSettings.txt file out of the live directory.
• Double-click to launch the Elder Scrolls Launcher.
• When the ESO Launcher fully launches, you may notice numerous clients already installed. By clicking once on the relevant client’s latest update, you can highlight it.
• Select Repair from the Game Options menu.
• If the fix option isn’t present, at the edge of the screen, there is an update button; click on it. Then quit the Launcher once the update is complete. When you restart the ESO launcher, a Repair option will appear.
• Exit the Launcher, right-click on the icon, and choose Properties if the repair option is still disabled. Tick the box labeled “Run this Program as Administrator” on the side of the window. 
• Select Repair from the menu displayed by clicking on Game Options. 
• Wait patiently until your game Launcher has finished searching for and downloading all of the defective or missing files.
• Restart your computer and check to see if the error still occurs.

If fixing the Launcher fails, you can attempt the options listed below.

Make sure the ProgramData Folder is empty

ProgramData is the folder where all the important files ensure that ESO is working properly. If an error occurs, prepare a backup of the folder and delete the original one. ESO will create a folder on its own.

1. Look for This PC using the search icon at the bottom of the screen. 
2. Navigate to the Launcher folder in the following directory. (Note: If ESO Launcher was installed in any separate folder, go to that location.)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher

1. Please navigate to the folder, right-click it, and choose Delete from the menu. (Before deleting the ProgramData folder, we suggest that you perform a backup of the folder).
2. Except for the file named host.developer.log, check the same location as the ProgramData folder was stored for files titled host.developer.Blog and remove them. 

Check to check if the problem has been fixed by restarting the Launcher. 

Directly start the game

If you’re experiencing trouble starting ESO using the desktop shortcut, try starting it directly from the folder instead.

• Search This PC from the taskbar search button.
• Locate the Client folder by going to the path mentioned below. 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher\Game\Client

• Search for eso64.exe from the client folder, right-click on it, and choose Run as Administrator from the pop-up menu. 

Graphics Drivers Need to be Up to date

Nowadays, having a powerful graphic driver is required to play the most contemporary games. Ensure that it is up to date so as to avoid ESO Error 11 and keep things running smoothly.

1. Using the search icon present at the bottom of the screen, look for This PC.
2. Navigate to the Launcher’s folder in the following directory. (Note: If ESO Launcher was installed in a separate directory, go to that location.)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher

1. Find Bethesda.net_Launcher, right-click it, and choose Properties from the menu. 
2. Toggle compatibility mode on and tick the boxes next to and Run the program and Run this program as an administrator. Also, make sure to choose a Windows older version than the one you are now using.
3. Select OK after applying the modifications by clicking Apply. 
4. Type Device Manager into the search box present in the taskbar. 
5. After right-clicking on the Graphic driver, under Display Adapters, choose Update Driver from the dropdown menu that appears.

Change the Directory Launcher’s settings

Several users notice the error message when the ESO launcher is downloaded via Steam. To fix this bug, swap the Launched folder in the game’s directory with the one in the installerData folder. To do this activity, follow the steps below.

1. Find the steam launcher and right-click on it, then choose properties. 
2. Tick the box next to Run this program as an administrator, under compatibility mode. 
3. Search for This PC. 
4. Proceed to the next step by following the path listed below. 

C:\Users\HP\AppData\local\temp\l1487064677\installerData\Disk1\instData

1. A zip folder will be found here named resource1. Extract the Launcher folder on your desktop by double-clicking on the folder and going to $IA_PROJECT_DIR$, under the src path of the Launcher.
2. Now navigate to your directory’s Launcher folder. The path would be different if you downloaded it using Steam.

C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online

1. Swap the Launcher folder with the one that you extracted from the home screen.
2. As the last step, execute the Bethesda.net Launcher file from the Launcher subdirectory.

Check to see if the problem has been resolved by rebooting your computer. If the issue persists, you can use the last option mentioned below. 

Remove and Reinstall ESO

To ensure that everything starts without bugs, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the Launcher. To complete this activity, follow the instructions below.

• To open File Explorer, press Win + E.

•  Go to the folder where you saved the ESO Launcher. It’s located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher by default.
• Remove the Launcher folder from your computer.
• Download and install the ESO Launcher from the official ESO website. Alternatively, the game is available for download on Steam.

Check to see if the ESO Error has been resolved after reinstalling.

If you’re still getting Fatal Error 11 on ESO, the only thing you can do now is restart your computer after totally powering down your Internet network.

1. Wait at least 2 minutes after unplugging your internet router.
2. Wait for the router to power up after inserting the plug into the socket.
3. Now restart your computer by removing the computer’s plug from the socket and replugging it after 2 minutes.
